  We hired Something For The Weekend for our wedding in June 2022 after seeing them at a wedding I worked at in 2019, and they were absolutely amazing! The dance floor was packed and they brought such a good atmosphere to our evening by really getting the guests involved, everyone commented on the night and after how great they were.   We chose The Wilde Ones for our wedding on 28/05/2022 and wow they were amazing! All of our guests have commented to say how great they were. They played a variety of music, which everyone loved and up dancing! We also had a DJ and Sax who were part of the band and they were equally amazing. The atmosphere was great and we are so glad we chose these guys. We also had Sam (main singer in the band) who sang during the wedding reception and his voice is incredible.   We hired Freddy to do a DJ and sax set at our wedding and are so glad we did. If you’re unsure about hiring a band for your wedding or event for any reason, these guys are a great way to do something more unique that guests will remember and that creates at least as much energy as a full band.   Dae la roux with Jonny Ross music were amazing at our wedding!! We danced all day and night and people keep telling us how amazing they were. Would recommend to anyone. We also had DJ Matt for later on in the night and he kept everyone dancing all night with their song requests.   We recently used JRM for a DJ and Sax package for our wedding. Kyle their events manager was responsive from the get go and always on hand to answer any questions we had on the run up to the event. Michael and Tom who were our DJ and saxophonist on the day were absolutely superb - they really blew our guests away. We’ve had so much positive feedback following the event. Thank you very much JRM, you guys genuinely made our wedding party! Our experienced saxophonist and DJ team will work closely with you to craft the perfect music lineup for your event, featuring sax-infused DJ sets and a mix of your favorite dance tracks. Whether you’re looking for background music or a lively party atmosphere the dj, sax and bongos trio will provide the perfect soundtrack for your special occasionThe Saxophone and DJ package includes:

Full Day Sax and DJ Package

This is our favourite package! The Full Day package includes all of the elements of the evening Sax & DJ package but also includes a set in the daytime. For the daytime set we play Cafe Del Mar Ibizan style music. It sets a lovely atmosphere for the daytime and allows the Saxophonist to flourish. It will feel as if you are sipping cocktails at Cafe mambo at Sunset!

Daytime Set- 2 hours
Full evening DJ service (5 hours – typically between 7pm & midnight)
Full light and sound set up
High end speaker system and pioneer DJ decks
3x 30 minute Saxophone sessions. The Saxophonist will play a wide range of genres and get out on the dance floor to create a fun filled atmosphere

The Dj live experience combines a band with a DJ to create the ultimate party atmosphere. The band will perform a range of genres and get out into the middle of the dance floor to provide a wholesome and energetic performance.

Can I add further musicians to the Sax and DJ Package?

You can book the package with a percussionist, singer, or violinist. Mixing the DJ with live music elements creates a truly unique experience for your party or wedding entertainment. With all the musicians being completely wireless, they can roam the dance floor, interact with guests and create a true spectacle. Expect to see all your guests dancing on tables, singing along to massive hits, and having the time of their lives – it’ll be a party to remember! We have many varieties of DJ sax groups for you to check out!

How long do the Sax and DJ team perform?

For an evening booking, the sax player will perform 3 x 30-minute sessions across the evening, supported by the DJ, who will play music for the entire event. There is also the option to upgrade to the full-day package which is a popular choice for weddings as it creates a wonderful atmosphere for the daytime wedding reception following your wedding ceremony.

Does the Saxophone & DJ team provide all the equipment for the event?

Jonny Ross Music will provide all the lighting and sound for your wedding, party or corporate function – this is included in the total package cost. We use the most up-to-date DJ technology, including RCF speakers, Chauvet, ADJ lighting, and Pioneer DJ controllers. Jonny Ross Music is proud to provide the sleekest and most stylish DJ set-ups to accommodate any event at any venue.

How much does it cost to hire a DJ and Sax?

Prices vary depending on the location of the party or wedding venue and date; please get in touch for further information. The DJ and Sax wedding package is trendy, and we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance. If you want a famous DJ with a saxophone for your party, we can certainly work with you on this!

Can we choose which DJ and sax player we want for our Sax & DJ package?

We have over seven teams and we can match the team to suit your event and style. We work with all our customers to find the best option for their event.

Can I book a famous DJ with Saxophone?

Our musicians have performed alongside many famous DJs, including Denise Van Outen and Carl Cox. If you’re booking a famous Dj for your event, please do not hesitate to get in touch about booking a live musician alongside them.

Does the Sax and DJ package work well for a daytime wedding reception?: This is a popular choice for daytime wedding music. If you’re looking for something unique to entertain your guests during your daytime proceedings, the ‘Café del Mar’ add-on is a smooth blend of Sax & DJ performing chill-out house that will make your guests feel like they are sipping cocktails during an Ibizan sunset. The perfect add-on for a daytime wedding reception!

As an alternative to the ‘Café del Mar’ add-on, we offer a Solo Saxophone package which includes a mixture of Jazz and Pop standards performed by one of our talented saxophonists. The Solo Sax add-on will create a pleasant, ambient atmosphere whilst you enjoy the beginning of your wedding celebrations. Personalised playlists are available, and if you wish to have the saxophone as part of your wedding ceremony music please let us know and we can tailor our packages to suit. Daytime wedding live music is a growing wedding trend that keeps your guests entertained throughout.
How many Sax and DJ teams do you have?: We have seven Sax and DJ teams that are available to book up and down the country!
Do the Sax and DJ team specialise in any particular styles of music?: All our Sax and DJ players are experienced in playing across multiple genres to cater to all musical tastes, whether it be Motown, Pop, Disco, Dance or House, making them suitable for any preference of party or wedding entertainment. We also give you the opportunity to make song suggestions ahead of the date to give the Sax & DJ act a better idea of the type of music you would like to be played throughout your wedding, party or corporate function.
Where can I see the Sax and DJ package performed live?: We hold showcase events throughout the year, the majority of which are based in Leeds, York or Harrogate. This gives you the opportunity to see all of our acts before booking them for your wedding, party or corporate function. Can the Sax & DJ team perform our First Dance?: Absolutely! You will be introduced to your Sax & DJ team prior to your event – there you can discuss song choices and specify what you would like for your first dance song. All of our Sax & DJ teams are well-experienced in performing at weddings and would be happy to make suggestions for your first dance as well as the wedding music throughout if you’re unsure!
What are the power requirements for the Sax & DJ?: If you are hiring a generator we need around 2.5 – 3k to power the DJ set up. We will then need access to 2 x sockets close to where the DJ will be set up. We will provide extension cables.
How will the Sax & DJ act get our guests up to dance?: Adding saxophone to the DJ package creates the ultimate Ibizan party experience. Our sax players will perform a mix of genres whilst dancing with your guests on the dance floor to create the ultimate party atmosphere. All of our acts have a vast experience of performing at numerous weddings, parties and corporate functions, and as well as being amazing musicians, they offer unparalleled showmanship to create the ultimate live music experience.
Can we choose which DJ and sax player we would like for our Sax & DJ package?: With all of our Sax & DJ teams having the same experience and of the same calibre we don’t necessarily assign a particular team. As a business, it is extremely important the service we promote and provide is consistent with whichever Sax & DJ team you have. All of our acts have a vast experience of performing at numerous weddings, parties and corporate functions. We pride ourselves on the experience and calibre of our teams to deliver the perfect party or wedding entertainment for each client, and work extremely hard to ensure all can play a huge mix of genres playing good quality music.
